Fahrvergnuegen for wheelchair users – not possible? Oh, yes it is: The Hase Handbike! After all, you don’t need strong legs for speed, and joy rides should not be reserved for people with no physical limitations. But the ergonomics have to fit – like the Hase Handbike: The crank assembly folds forward for easy mounting and dismounting. For operation, it is positioned at a comfortable reach. And thanks to rear-wheel drive, the common flaw of most handcycles is not an issue: Spinning front wheels are old news!
The rider can brake and shift without taking his hands off the
grips – and these components are something you can count on: Two disc brakes on the rear wheels offer full stopping power with minimal pressure on the levers. You’ll reach the top with the mountain-drive planetary geared crankset, which can be shifted even when the Handbike is at rest, making stop-and-go a breeze. The chassis of aluminum lightweights? Extreme sportiness or total comfort, it all depends on which Handbike you choose: the KettWiesel or the Lepus.
